The Sanctuary hosts American students

The Sanctuary is hosting American University student groups.
At least six groups are visiting during 2010 as part of a study programme on New Zealand’s ecology and culture. These groups learn about the sanctuary and assist with some practical work such as weed control.
Education programmes like those the Sanctuary can offer are vital to ensure that we have a community of future environmental caretakers that will be responsible for ongoing sustainable management and restoration of New Zealand’s fauna and flora.
